Zakat Fund

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Allah Almighty says:
“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah sees what you do.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 110

Allah also says:
“The ones who establish prayer and give Zakat, and they are certain in their belief in the Hereafter.”
— Surah An-Naml, Verse 3

And He says:
“And do not let those who greedily withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty think it is good for them. Rather, it is bad for them. They will be made to wear what they hoarded on the Day of Resurrection.”
— Surah Aal-E-Imran, Verse 180

Definition of Zakat

Zakat, in the Arabic language, means purification and growth. It is said that something has “increased” when it is blessed and purified. Allah Almighty says:
“Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to increase, and invoke blessings upon them.”
— Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 103

In Islamic law, Zakat refers to a specific portion of wealth that Allah has obligated upon financially capable individuals, to be distributed to those eligible according to specific conditions.
